Just finished this wee music video for THE CLOSE READERS’s ‘New Spirit’. Starring writer / actor William Brandt, this was shot over a day and half around Wellington, New Zealand.

It seems my first film, BLACK SHEEP, is on YouTube in its entirety. I guess I’d rather you, you know, bought it or something … but at the end of the day, I’d love you to see it. Maybe take a peek here and then get it from one of these links:

To mark the imminent release of some superhero comics I probably won’t read, I thought I’d have a wee play appropriating a world famous local property.
When I was done I discovered someone else had the same idea. Oh well.
And then I remembered that Adrian Kinnaird has someone drawing in the sand on his NZ comics blog of record From Earth’s End.
So originality possibly not the winner on the day. Enjoy anyway.
Chad Taylor and I have a new installment of CITY LIGHTS up over at The Brighter Future.
Click here or on the picture below to go to the comic.
Coming up on the one year anniversary of the most significant Christchurch Earthquake, I thought I would post a colourised and digitally touched up version of my comic that appeared in Darkest Day: Comics For Christchurch – a comics anthology that was released last year. All proceeds from the comic go to the Red Cross Christchurch Appeal. You may still be able to get it here (though the site seems to be down) or you can still donate to the Red Cross appeal.
Reposted, in memory of the late, great John Christopher.
There’s a new comic up at The Brighter Future by me and Chad Taylor called CITY LIGHTS. Go see!
I have a new webcomic blog thingy that I’m curating - with, hopefully, contributions from others, imagining life in 21st Century New Zealand.
There’s an intro and a new comic up there now, so click the title above and go have a look.
Another in this occasional series. Leatherface is, of course, the villain / hero of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and its many sequels and remakes. I love that iconic last image (of the original film) of him wheeling with the chainsaw held above his head … and had fun imagining that might be all he ever did after the end of the film …
